Our girls started back in 2018 and with the sensi's guidance my girls had developed strong discipline, confidence, self respect and respect for others. Sensi's communication and discipline teaching structure made growing minds to easily comprehended each level all while making it a fun experience for the little ones. As we relocate they will have a special place in our lives.

Both of our boys are currently attending WLJA and love it! Shihan Anita and Shihan Joey have taught our children so much, not just about the art of jujutsu, but discipline and confidence as well. 10/10 highly recommend WLJA!

My 13 year old son has been learning Jiujitsu with Shihan Joey for a few months now and I couldn’t be happier with how it is going! He is a wonderful instructor who is HIGHLY skilled and works so well with kids of all ages based on my firsthand experience. Shihan Joey, Shihan Anita, and the rest of the staff (as well as older students who assist during classes) are all incredible and my son is very comfortable with all of them but does have a special connection with Shihan Joey and deeply admires him, both as an instructor and on a personal level; this is a big deal with him being Autistic. My son just got his first belt promotion last week and his confidence is soaring! This is impacting the rest of his life in many positive ways, even at school, and I cannot wait to see how well he is doing this time next year. Thank you WLJTA!!!

Not only has his jiu-jitsu improved, but he’s also more focused, more responsible at home, and not constantly cutting up like before. Thanks to excellent instruction and his own hard work, he’s been able to level up twice in just a few months!

This Academy is a true hidden gem in Leesville LA… our kids love the classes and have great love for the Shihan Joey and Shihan Anita. My kids have completely been transformed in their technique. Agility, mobility, confidence, behavior, and work ethic.
My sons now believe in themselves and have the confidence and courage to strive for excellence both on and off the mat. Most of all, I can verify that as a parent, I trust Shihan Joey and Shihan Anita with my children. I know it’s a safe, loving, encouraging environment and I can drop off my kids in class knowing they are in good hands. Shihan Anita is an excellent instructor and treats every kid with kindness and respect. She has the perfect combination of high standards in her class with an understanding that kids need to have fun too. We highly recommend her program for anyone interested in getting their young one involved in martial arts. They also have very fun parents night out programs and other special events through the year in addition to weekly classes.
